NASA Space Center to host Major League Cricket draft on March 19

The six-team franchise based T20 tournament slated to be played in July will comprise a team from New York, Washington DC, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle. The first edition of the tournament will span over 18 days and will be played in MLC operated venues in Dallas and Morrisville. According to sources, for the shortened - five league matches per team - inaugural season, the individual team purses will be capped around USD 750,000, which closely matches the average salary per game of the new SA T20 and UAE's ILT20. Handscomb, 31, last featured in a Test in 2019 but has seemingly jumped up the queue to start the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Test series after the pitch at the VCA Stadium appeared to be carefully curated to leave dry patches outside the left-handers' off-stump at either end.
