Rendering wiz Theophilus Chin has provided his take on the upcoming fourth-generation Lexus RX, also known as the Toyota Harrier in previous iterations. According to several reports, the new RX is set to make its public debut at the 2015 Detroit motor show alongside the Lexus GS F that was teased earlier on. While technical specs are still murky, the new RX is reported to arrive with a third row of seats. Though it may not seem like a big deal, Lexus North America has lobbied for said configuration due to soaring customer demands – so much so that it is rumoured development of the RC F convertible was dropped in favour of it. Apart from the new third row/seven-seat availability, expect the new Lexus RX to feature a range of updated engine and transmission options, including a new eight-speed automatic gearbox to replace the current six-speeder and possible mills from its NX sibling – albeit in different states of tune.
