Nigel Farage has said the Brexit Party wants to lead a “political revolution which puts the ordinary people first”.As part of his party’s policy launch – he pointedly refused to call it a manifesto – the former UKIP leader announced a series of plans which he claimed would provide a better life for the general UK public. He proposed reforming the voting system by scrapping first past the post in favour of a more proportional system, getting rid of the House of Lords and removing VAT on domestic fuel bills. The Brexit Party would lift corporation tax for companies making less than £10,000 a year and reduce tariffs on food, clothing and footwear, he added.Mr Farage admitted his party would most likely never be in power but could be the driving force behind getting governments to “support the little people”.
