Admittedly, my "conversations" tend to take the form of nagging more so than wellness "tips" — wearing deodorant, showering daily and (gasp!) brushing their teeth. However, there have been moments—usually in the car when no one is looking directly at the other—when they have asked me about sexual health and women's reproductive issues and expected a candid and direct answer. I'm encouraged that my teenage boys are asking these questions, but not just because they're boys. Even when I was a teenager and a young college-aged woman, I too had questions about my own health and wellness and never really found a trusted source for answers.
