GNCAP) latest round of #SaferCarsForIndia crash tests .According to the GNCAP test report, the recently-launched Mahindra Thar was tested in its basic safety specification, two airbags. Thar also meets the side impact UN 95 regulation. Conducted in Germany, GNCAP tested Thar’s ESC according to the UN regulation. ESC is not fitted as standard on Thar. Although the model met minimum regulatory requirements, the car showed an unstable dynamic behaviour. New Delhi: Omega Seiki Mobility on Wednesday unveiled three electric vehicles for commercial and passenger segments. The company, which is part of the Delhi-based Anglian Omega Group, plans to start delivery of the models from March next year. The new range includes Sun Ri (three-wheeler for cargo segment), Ride (e-rickshaw), and Stream (passenger auto-rickshaw). "The Indian market has great potential to capture electric vehicle technology on a larger scale. Replacing conventional internal combustion engines with electric vehicles will benefit the nation in multiple ways by generating new employment possibilities, contributing to the economy, and sustaining the environment," Anglian Omega Group Chairman Uday Narang said in a statement.
