DUBAI: Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, has agreed on a deal to produce and export hydrogen as fuel, its state media office announced on Sunday.So-called green hydrogen, created by splitting water into its two components using electricity from renewable energy sources, is increasingly viewed as a fuel of the future to reduce carbon emissions from fossil fuels.Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC), Abu Dhabi state investor Mubadala and state-owned holding company ADQ have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the Abu Dhabi Hydrogen Alliance, the statement said. African countries need to look into other sources of energy – Babajide Agunbiade
A: I think it is a fair statement. Thanks, Juliana. The theory that the world will someday come to rely on less oil is not new. However, the way that that outcome may occur has shifted from peak supply to peak demand. What we are seeing now is that demand is dropping as alternate forms of energy that do not require fossil fuels such as electric cars, wind and a whole lot of other renewable energy options and integrated gasification in combined cycle from coal have come into play. The demand has peaked and it fair to say renewable energy will become the largest source of global power generation while Oil demand will continue to decline, but predicting how this energy transition will evolve is a vast, complex challenge. So it is a fair statement. … [Read more...] about African countries need to look into other sources of energy – Babajide Agunbiade

They share traditional conservatives’ respect for independence, hard work, and the role of private entities, especially faith-based ones, but see a greater opportunity for government programs and spending to support these values. … [Read more...] about Bobby Jindal: Biden may find support for some proposals among populist Republicans in Congress
Climate Change Needs an Operation Warp Speed
With renewable energy, the US government could pledge to buy as much clean energy as firms can make. One thing that slows cutting-edge deployments is that selling energy—closing contracts with many different states, cities, or businesses—is often a glacial, convoluted affair, notes Tim Latimer, CEO of Fervo Energy, a developer of geothermal energy. By being a single, huge buyer of first resort, the feds could strip away complexity. … [Read more...] about Climate Change Needs an Operation Warp Speed
