UP announces dedicated DSP force for temple security in Ayodhya

Upgrading the security of important religious places across the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced special dedicated posts of Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) for security at the Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi and the Mathura’s Krishna Janmabhoomi.While senior police officer Jai Prakash Singh is named DSP (Security) for the Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya, Kailash Chandra Pandey, Ram Mohan Sharma and Om Prakash Arya will oversee security at the Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura. Further the notification named Deputy Superintendents of Police Anil Rai, Praeep Singh Chandel and Ratneshwar Singh, all posted in Varanasi, as DSP (Security) at the Kashi Vishwanath temple.According to a recent notification issued by the state government, the officers picked for the dedicated services are from the provincial police forces, either direct entrants at that rank or promoted from inspector.
