Alek Skarlatos, the Army National Guard veteran who heroically stopped a terrorist from hijacking a train, is now running to flip a key district in Oregon that could help deliver the House to Republicans. Skarlatos is running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Oregon’s 4th district — a district that Hillary Clinton won by only a tenth of a percent over President Trump. He is running to dislodge far-left incumbent Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-OR), who has held that seat for 33 years and is a backer of defunding the police and Rep. Washington will review the possibility of increasing its military presence in Ukraine if required, Acting US Ambassador to Ukraine Kristina Kvien stated, following a ceremony for greeting the eighth rotation of American military instructors arriving in the country to train its troops. A military jury has found Navy SEAL Chief Eddie Gallagher not guilty on almost all counts, including the killing of a wounded ISIS fighter. He was only found guilty on one count related to taking a photo of the ISIS fighter’s corpse, which carries a maximum sentence of four months. As Gallagher has already served nine months in pre-trial confinement, he will not serve any time in jail at all, his lawyer Tim Parlatore said. “Suffice it to say — huge victory. Huge weight off the Gallagher, huge victory for justice,” said Marc Mukasey, one of Gallagher’s lawyers. “He is going home,” said Tim Parlatore, another one of Gallagher’s lawyers.
