Cameron Green stars again as WA make strong start

SHEFFIELD SHIELD 2020-21 by Cricbuzz Staff • Last updated on Share Tweet Cameron Green stroked an unbeaten 182 © Getty Queensland vs Western Australia Cameron Green hit his third successive century of the season as Western Australia got off to a strong start in their encounter against Queensland. Green, who already hit two hundreds in the first two games so far, came out to bat as early as the 10th over after WA were jolted early by Jack Wildermuth. Having lost both the openers cheaply, WA then began the rebuilding job with skipper Shaun Marsh leading the charge. Marsh was involved in a huge partnership with Green, who was fluent once again. The batting allrounder smashed four sixes in his innings and remained unbeaten on 182 by stumps. Even though Marsh fell for 70 in the final session, Green had Hilton Cartwright for company as the two batsmen ensured WA finished the day on a strong note. Eid-al-Fitr: What Kiwi Muslims cook to celebrate the end of Ramadan

ITN Muslims across the world gather together each year to celebrate the end of Ramadan. Eid-al Fitr marks the end of the holy month, which includes fasting. It's sweet, warm, milky and just the thing to ward off the chills on a wintry Hamilton day. But the bowls of fine vermicelli noodles studded with nuts and splashed with hot milk that Anjum Rahman is serving for visitors isn't just any dish. This is sevainya, a dessert-like celebration food served only at Eid. "Sevainya represents Eid for us," says 52-year-old Anjum, who was made a Member of the Order of NZ Merit on Monday and has lived in Hamilton since 1972. "It's a special dish because Eid is a chance to celebrate our achievement in fasting and to reward ourselves." Many homes available but first-time buyers not aware of options, says real estate expert

RADIO TARANA Shane Prasad, head of strategic growth at Harcourts Milestone, talks to Radio Tarana's Vandhna Bhan about the current housing market. A real estate expert says many first home buyers are missing out on ideal properties because they have not been told about what's available out there. Shane Prasad, head of strategic growth at Harcourts Milestone, said many "leftover" KiwiBuild homes were out there, but had not been taken up because buyers were not aware those properties existed. Prasad said many houses from the government's KiwiBuild scheme were on the property market, capped at $500,000 for a one-bedroom home, $600,000 for a two-bedroom, and $650,000 for a three-bedroom home. While owners of these properties won't have to go through the KiwiBuild scheme anymore, they will have to oblige by some of the conditions such as living in the property for at least three years, this way these properties are off limits for investors. Exclusive: Woman Who Killed Harry Dunn Was ‘Working for US Intelligence’, Family Rep Explains

Radd Seiger is an advisor and spokesperson for the family of Harry Dunn and is a lawyer by training. He has known the Dunn family for 20 years, including their son Harry, and lives just down the street from their home. Anne Sacoolas, a US citizen, killed Harry whilst she was driving down the wrong side of the road. Three weeks later, Mrs Sacoolas fled to the United States, after the UK Foreign Office advised police that she had diplomatic immunity, owing to the fact that she was a dependent of her husband Jonathan. However, this determination has recently been thrown into doubt, following the revelation that Mrs Sacoolas was herself working for US intelligence at the time. In a detailed interview with Sputnik, Seiger explains why it is that, if Mrs Sacoolas was working in the UK as an intelligence officer, the Dunn family argue she did not have diplomatic immunity and she should not have been permitted to leave the country. Sputnik: During a hearing in the case that the Dunn … [Read more...] about Exclusive: Woman Who Killed Harry Dunn Was ‘Working for US Intelligence’, Family Rep Explains

China Passes US as European Union’s Largest Trading Partner Amid Historic Investment Agreement

According to data from European Union statistics agency Eurostat, the People’s Republic of China surpassed the United States as the EU’s largest trading partner last year, with more than $710 billion in goods exchanged. “In the year 2020, China was the main partner for the EU. This result was due to an increase of imports (5.6 per cent) and exports (2.2 per cent). At the same time, trade with the United States recorded a significant drop in both imports (-13.2 per cent) and exports (-8.2 per cent),” Eurostat said in a report released on Tuesday . The data doesn’t include China’s trade with the United Kingdom, which departed the EU last year. By contrast, US trade with the EU was just €555 billion ($672 billion), a 10% decline from 2019. Nick Marro, global trade lead at the Economist Intelligence Unit, told the South China Morning Post that demand for luxury goods in the Chinese economy, which closed down and opened up again much sooner than other countries due to the COVID-19 … [Read more...] about China Passes US as European Union’s Largest Trading Partner Amid Historic Investment Agreement
