PHOTOS: Nari Shakti leads the way at R-Day parade

Women power was on full display during the 70th Republic Day parade on Rajpath on Saturday with several Navy and Army contingents being led by them and a woman officer exhibiting stunts on bike. Contingents of the Navy, India Army Service Corps and a unit of Corps of Signals (transportable satellite terminal) were all led by women officers. Not just the parade, 36 SWAT women commandos, who were formally inducted in Delhi Police's Special Weapons and Tactics unit were also part of the Delhi's security arrangement. The all-women Assam Rifles contingent created history this year by participating for the first time in a Republic Day parade, which was led by Maj Khushboo Kanwar. Capt Shikha Surabhi from the Corps of Signals became the first woman to perform bike stunts, alongside her male teammates as part of daredevils, a major attraction every Republic Day. Her standing salute from the bike drew loud applause from the audience. Pol Espargaro: Not knowing limit of Honda is “stressful”

The six-time MotoGP podium finisher made his debut on the RC213V on Saturday in Qatar, and made a lap time improvement of 1.2 seconds on Sunday to 12th with a 1m54.673s. Espargaro noted on Saturday that both the KTM he rode for four years and the Honda are similar in terms handling – but felt they were “too different” to directly compare – and this has meant he hasn’t had to totally readapt his riding style to the RC213V. However, he admits he still has “many things” to learn about the Honda and says the fact he hasn’t crashed yet shows the margin to improve is there. iPhone 5 vs HTC One: Camera shootout

Side by side, shot for shot, we put the iPhone 5 up against the HTC One to see which camera phone reigns supreme! It's become a cliché for a reason -- the best camera is the one you have with you, and for the vast majority of us, that's the iPhone 5 . It is, as Apple will happily tell you , the most "popular" camera in the world. Over the last few months, however, other manufacturers have really been stepping up their optics as well. The one who has taken the biggest risks, and made the biggest gamble, is the HTC One . Instead of going for more megapixels, they went for more microns. Like Apple, they put sensor quality ahead of quantity, but took it to another level entirely. If camera quality is one of the most important criteria when considering which phone you buy, that raises the question -- iPhone vs. HTC One, which takes the best photos? iMore's own Leanna Lofte has done a complete iPhone 5 camera review , and Alex Dobie from Android Central has done a similar HTC … [Read more...] about iPhone 5 vs HTC One: Camera shootout
