Bengaluru, March 8: On the occasion of international women’s day 2021, we take a look back to those female pro-wrestlers who ruled the WWE territory over the years by holding the championships. Formerly known as WWF – World Wrestling Federation, the company has created several women's professional wrestling championships since acquiring The Fabulous Moolah's NWA World Women's Championship in 1984. Until 2010, the traditional Women’s Title was intact but then it was converted into the Divas Championship when beauty and glamour were preferred rather than wrestling. NXT Women’s Title was launched in 2013 as the focus shifted to in-ring competition again. Then in 2016, the Women’s Championship was re-introduced for both the Raw and Smackdown divisions.
