England hero Paul Gascoigne shows dance moves before he’s dropped into jungle with ex-Miss Italy stunner for TV show

ENGLAND legend Paul Gascoigne has been showing off his dance moves ahead of being dropped into the jungle with a former Miss Italy stunner. Gazza, 53, is set to make an appearance on the Italian version of ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here.’ And he worked up a sweat during an unorthodox dance show in pyjamas, slippers and shades as he got ready to board a plane to Central America to star with a former Miss Italy in Isola de Famosi - Island of the Famous. Gazza, 53, is set to be thrown out of a helicopter into the sea and made to swim to dry land before braving the risk of tropical storms and poisonous spiders on the small archipelago of Cayos Cochinos 18 miles off the northern coast of Honduras. But the adventure awaiting him didn’t seem to deter his spirits as he relaxed in his hotel in Italy ahead of his weekend flight. And Gazza, who gave footie fans a chuckle two years ago at Wembley by performing the famous Floss Dance, showed he was game for a laugh after coming … [Read more...] about England hero Paul Gascoigne shows dance moves before he’s dropped into jungle with ex-Miss Italy stunner for TV show

Pilot reports encounter with ‘object that almost looked like’ a missile

An American Airlines pilot reported an encounter with an unidentified object during a flight he had on Sunday. "I hate to say this — looked like a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing moving really fast. It went right over the top of us," the pilot said in a radio transmission that was recorded by blogger Steve Douglass, the Arizona Republic reported . The object was seen by the pilot of American Airlines Flight 2292 as it was traveling from Cincinnati to Phoenix while over New Mexico. ADVERTISEMENT "Following a debrief with our Flight Crew and additional information received, we can confirm this radio transmission was from American Airlines Flight 2292 on Feb. 21," American Airlines said in a statement to the Arizona Republic. New Mexico has missile ranges in the state, and the pilot asked “Do you have any targets up here? We just had something go right over the top of us.” “We never test in that area,” Scott … [Read more...] about Pilot reports encounter with ‘object that almost looked like’ a missile

PH Navy’s 2nd brand new, missile-capable frigate docks in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Navy on Friday formally welcomed its second brand new missile-capable frigate, which would be christened BRP Antonio Luna (FF-151). The warship recently finished its quarantine period in Subic Bay after arriving from the Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea last February 9. Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, the guest of honor at the arrival ceremony, joined Navy officials and other guests in welcoming the ship at Pier 13 in South Harbor. Luna, the second and final ship of Rizal-class frigates, is scheduled to be commissioned sometime in March. It will join its sister-ship BRP Jose-Rizal (FF-150), which entered service in July 2020. Capt. Charles Merric Villanueva, commanding officer of Luna, said he was proud to command and bring home one of the Navy’s most modern warships to date. “It’s an honor for me. It’s an honor for my team. We are ready to perform the missions required of us in tandem with BRP … [Read more...] about PH Navy’s 2nd brand new, missile-capable frigate docks in Manila

North Korea fires 2 ballistic missiles

NORTH KOREA - North Korea on Monday fired two short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea, apparently to protest South Korea-US military drills, according to Seoul's Defence Ministry. Seoul called the move a "provocative action" that further raised military tensions on the peninsula and violated a series of UN Security Council resolutions prohibiting any launch using ballistic missile technology. The North fired four ballistic missiles last Thursday and four "KN-09" rockets into the East Sea about a week earlier. One of its patrol boats also crossed the Northern Limit Line, a de facto sea border, three times between last Monday and Tuesday. "The missile launch is a provocative action that poses a grave threat to the international aviation order and the safety of civilians given that it was an abnormal military action that took place without any prior notice or warning," said Seoul's Defence Ministry spokesperson Kim Min-seok during a regular briefing. "Pyongyang shows … [Read more...] about North Korea fires 2 ballistic missiles

S Korea extending ballistic missile range to counter North’s threat

SEOUL - South Korea has test-fired a new ballistic missile with a range of 500 km (310 miles) and will try to extend the range to 800 km so it can strike any site in North Korea, its defence ministry said on Friday, days after Pyongyang fired a mid-range missile. The new missiles are intended to counter the threat from North Korea's missile and nuclear programmes, ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok said, but the move is likely to rattle the North, hit with UN sanctions for its own missile tests. South Korea adopted a voluntary ban on developing ballistic missiles with a range of more than 300 km, under an agreement with the United States, but the allies agreed in 2012 to allow the South to develop 800 km-range missiles. "We test-fired it, and we succeeded," Kim told a briefing, when asked if the military had recently conducted a 500-km missile test. "And we're going to make 800-km missiles." The new missiles will be used to strike the North's weapons and military installations in the … [Read more...] about S Korea extending ballistic missile range to counter North’s threat
