Big safari vibes on this one. The Porsche 911 is one of the most iconic vehicles to grace the tarmac of mother earth. Along with its unique engineering approach, just about anyone can successfully identify a 911 in any average lineup of road vehicles. Sticking in with the crowd is great, but delta4x4 has recently announced plans for an offroad capable 992 variant of the German classic. Many of you will cry foul at such bombastic modifications to this refined automobile, but there’s much more than meets the eye. According to the department’s proposal summited to the municipal People’s Committee, these vehicles have been banned to enter the city center, run on streets of Phan Dinh Giot (on the section from Nguyen Van Troi to Truong Son, Truong Son (on the section from Phan Dinh Giot to Hong Ha), Tran Quoc Hoan, Hoang Van Thu, Nguyen Van Troi, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia (on the section from Nguyen Van Troi to Dien Bien Phu) , Vo Van Kiet from 5 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 10 pm from now until 2022. They will not be also allowed to travel on Hanoi Highway (on the section from the National Road 1A to Cat Lai interchange); and national roads of 1A, 1K, 13, 22 and 50, Nguyen Van Linh and Nguyen Luong Bang streets from 6 am to 8 am and 4 pm to 7 pm. From 2020-2025, the municipal authorities will limit three and four-wheel non-motorized vechicles on inner-city streets and adjust travelling tiem from 5 am to 10 pm. LONDON: George Russell has dampened speculation of an early move to Mercedes after his impressive performance as stand-in for seven times world champion Lewis Hamilton. The 22-year-old Briton fuelled some chatter when he said in Bahrain last Sunday (Dec 10) that he hoped he had given Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff a selection headache "not just for 2022, maybe sooner". "That was just a throwaway remark in the heat of the moment," Russell told reporters at Formula One's season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Thursday. "Obviously emotions were high and what have you. YORK, England: The UK government seems to be doubling down on threats to leave the European Union without a deal unless the EU gives in on issues of state aid and fisheries. These two concerns are as important in Brussels as they seem to be in London. In the latest attempt to ramp up the drama as the deadline to reach an agreement nears, the UK has said it plans to revisit the withdrawal agreement it has already signed with the EU on the terms of departure. SINGAPORE: SBS Transit said it is assisting the police with investigations following an incident on Monday in which a woman was hit by one of its buses and pinned under its rear wheel. Responding to queries from CNA, SBS Transit said on Wednesday (Dec 9) its "immediate focus is on the pedestrian's well-being", and added that it is in touch with her next-of-kin. "We are sorry that this has happened and are committed to rendering our assistance as she recovers," said Ms Tammy Tan, the company's senior vice president of corporate communications. The incident took place at the junction of Bedok Reservoir Road and Bedok North Road on Monday and was caught on video by the car camera of another vehicle. The bus was making a discretionary right turn as the woman walked along the pedestrian crossing.
