Police and local fishermen rescue the 21-year-old who tried to kill himself In a shocking incident, a man allegedly attempted suicide by jumping into Vashi creek in Navi Mumbai on Tuesday, after a spat with his girlfriend. On Wednesday, the police informed that a 21-year-old man jumped from the Vashi Bridge into the creek shortly before midnight on Tuesday. As soon as the police officials received an alert in Navi Mumbai control room, they immediately rushed to the spot. On reaching the spot, a team of Vashi police officials found a woman crying at the scene and informed the cops that her boyfriend Ravi Reddy had jumped into the creek following a quarrel. The Vashi police enlisted the help of some home guards, personnel from Disaster Control and two fishermen to rescue the man. They took a boat and removed the man from the creek. Officials also informed that the man was just about to drown.
