Meghan Markle watched the funeral of Prince Philip at her home in California on Saturday after she was advised by her doctor not to travel while pregnant, Reuters reported. Meghan watched as Harry walked in procession behind the coffin of the 99-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth and alongside other members of the royal family, including his father Prince Charles and brother Prince William. The funeral held at the St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle where Harry and Meghan married in 2018,  marked the first time the prince  met his family since the couple gave an explosive interview to Oprah Winfrey in March. In it they accused one unnamed royal of making a racist remark and said Meghan's pleas for help when she felt suicidal had been ignored. A protest in Oakland, California turned violent on Friday night, with some demonstrators smashing storefronts and one local car dealership suffering fire damage. Hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets to protest against the death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright , who was shot and killed by Minnesota police officer Kim Potter on Sunday during a traffic stop. Potter has been charged with second-degree manslaughter. Friday's protest was mostly peaceful, according to ABC7 News, but a small number of demonstrators smashed windows of some local businesses, while at least one vehicle was set on fire in the showroom of a Honda dealership in the 3300 block of the city's Broadway area.
